Accessing a variety of goods with an AI-enabled robotic process, the Autonomous Storage and Retrieval System locates, picks, and delivers items accurately and efficiently. The AS/RS operation approaches rows simultaneously and shuffles totes according to the most efficient path, decreasing congestion and minimizing required labor. The system’s design is optimized for speed, density, and inventory flexibility.
NREC’s AS/RS solution is revolutionizing warehouse automation at every level from the distribution center to the truck trailer. With a versatility advantage, its unique design allows for scalability in a range of industry applications and use cases.
A dense cube structure with virtually no height limit maximizes storage capacity per square feet with no needs for aisles for robot access.
With a pair of robots on each layer working together, totes can be retrieved very rapidly at very high rate. Adding another pair of robots per layer nearly double the throughput.
Our system can be configured to work in large warehouse, in small fulfillment centers and even in delivery trucks, and can handle different tote/tray sizes within the same system.
With the robots on the outside of the structure, there is no active component inside. This allows the system to use power rails instead of batteries and to make it simple to replace a robot with minimal disruption to the ASRS operations.
Our AS/RS can be installed on existing, uneven floors and can tolerate up to 2% inclination.
